2013

Intekel Automación was founded on November 12, 2013, under the legal name Intekel Tecnología de Automatización Industrial S.A. de C.V. The company began its journey with just three employees—Juan Carlos, Miguel, and Farid—laying the foundation for its future growth.

2025

Intekel was selected among 50 Mexican companies to join the Supplier Development Program for the automotive sector, driven by IFC, INA, and Mexico’s Ministry of Economy. Participation offered a key opportunity to strengthen organizational, technical, and commercial capacities, boosting its maturity as a competitive supplier.

2014

Intekel gained funding from CONACYT's FINNOVA to create CNC machine prototypes and formalized its first academic alliance with the Technological University of the Southeast of Veracruz. It contributed to the Veracruz Innovation Agenda and co-organized HACKATHON COATZA 2014, bringing together 200 young innovators for a 24-hour challenge to solve industrial problems through technology.

2015

Partnerships with Tecnológico de Monterrey and CIATEQ strengthened Intekel's innovation capacity. The company earned ISO 9001:2008 certification and signed a U.S. contract with ALTAS AMERICAS INC. It launched Intekel Financer, expanded automation products, and developed QuickBooks-integrated solutions for Mexican businesses. New project management methods enhanced efficiency in risk, time, and budget control.

2016

Intekel secured public funding to boost its software infrastructure and partnered with UJAT for academic collaboration. An alliance with Bluestar México brought RFID tech to its IoT solutions. Awarded the Veracruz Distinction to Competitiveness, Intekel joined EXPO ALADI, engaging with Latin American companies. The year closed with its first major SAP HANA project, expanding into enterprise-level solutions.

2017

With PROMÉXICO's support, Intekel joined Outsource2LAC in Costa Rica, forging global ties. The company began upgrading its Quality System to ISO 9001:2015 and laid the foundation for ISO 14001:2015 certification. Recognized by AMEXHI and SEDECOP as an IT leader, Intekel developed advanced logistics solutions in AI, Business Intelligence, and real-time analytics, marking a decisive shift toward innovation in the sector.

2018

Intekel Automación took part as a supplier at LAB4+ in Medellín, connecting with companies from Peru, Colombia, Chile, and Mexico in software and creative industries. Organized by ProChile, ProColombia, PromPerú, and ProMéxico, the event coincided with Intekel’s selection by the World Bank and Mexico’s Ministry of Economy as one of 45 firms to strengthen its role as a reliable supplier in Special Economic Zones.

2019

Intekel launched its first SaaS product, Bluespend, designed to streamline expense reporting and reimbursements. This milestone introduced agile development with SCRUM and user-friendly, customizable interfaces. Through the Special Economic Zones program, the company gained support to achieve ISO 27001:2013 certification, strengthening its information security standards.

2020

Amid the global pandemic, Intekel transitioned to a remote work model, shifted its focus from services to SaaS products, and consolidated Bluespend as a leading platform. The company also began adopting nearshoring, collaborating with U.S. firms and opening new growth opportunities.

2021

Collaboration with the Pacific Alliance enabled the recruitment of young international talent in sales, marketing, and management. This year also marked the development of Inspectruck and E-Supply, reinforcing innovation in logistics and supply chains.

2022

E-Supply was launched to optimize purchasing management and supplier collaboration, strengthening business efficiency. A renewed vision aligned with market needs boosted customer growth across all products and reinforced Intekel’s presence in the sector.

2023

The year marked Intekel’s 10th anniversary with its first sales in the Dominican Republic and Costa Rica, offering software development and warehouse control solutions. At the invitation of the Inter-American Development Bank, the company resumed in-person participation through Outsource2Lac in Jamaica, establishing new commercial partnerships with companies in Colombia and Central America.

2024

This year marked the consolidation of Bluespend and Inspecttruck, enhanced in design and functionality to gain greater user acceptance. By joining CAPIM business fairs across several states, Intekel held B2B meetings that led to contracts with companies in Nuevo León, Chihuahua, Querétaro, Aguascalientes, and the State of Mexico, strengthening its position.
